That was Summer

Have you ever smelled Summer?
Sure you have,
Remember that time when
you were about to jump in the pool
and the smell of chlorine skimmed past your nose?

Remember that time when
you grabbed the pineapple and raspberry ice-block
out of the freezer and you tried to bite into it before
the juice ran down your chin?

Remember that time when
you woke up to the smell of charcoal burning on the BBQ
and the sunlight peering through the window?

That was Summer!!!

My top outdoor spot

The grass tickles past my thighs, my feet sink into the the sand making my feet roast. I soak my toes in the icy water as the waves crash over my feet. The smell of fresh grass and salt water float past my nose. The sharp shells point into my feet. I climb up the strange branch coming out of the ground as I stare into the hypnotising view.
